Hey everyone, welcome to Day 25 of 30 Days Wild. Just a short blog today as It’s been a tiring day. We had a fabulous visit to Crom Estate which is managed by the National Trust. Our family has  had many memorable family rambles here. It’s an astonishing place with such a diverse range of habitats and architecture. . Today the Trust had organised a family fun day and we experienced lots of lovely things. I picked five of my favourites. I hope you enjoy them.

See some cool moths with Butterfly Conservation Trust Malachy is always fun to talk to and we also met  Rose who came up with a really cool idea to write an adventure activity book for kids! I was taking it all in as she suggested it but now I’m wondering…?! It’s certainly given me food for thought! Please support your local BCT, they do amazing work!

Toast marshmallows over an open fire. Oooh I love the squashy texture and slightly charred flavour.

Build a den!!! I don’t need to say anymore. A den is the best. All kids (and big kids) should make a den!

Watch an emerging Ringlet Butterfly! What a privilege. It was nestled deep in the grass. I was so excited that it caught my eye! A shame about the blade of grass but I couldn’t move it!

Watch an elegant Common Blue Damselfly. One of the ballet dancers of the invertebrate world. How beautiful are its curling moves?!

That’s it for today. I hope you enjoyed it.
